productronica 2015

•••2••• Messewelten IT2Industry: Secu- rity and mobility Due to the industrial Internet of Things, the prerequisites for pro- duction and manufacturing are undergoing some fundamental changes. The products and servi- ces that are presented at IT2Indus- try as part of the productronica are the link between classic manu- facturing and the fourth industrial revolution. At IT2Industry, compa- nies will show how decentralized control loops are integrated into the production process. That way, data from the production world that is generated in real time, can be processed by Internet-based services and used in the control process. The more that network- based functions are used in the production process, the more im- portant it becomes to make the network available reliably and in any given situation and to guaran- tee the best possible physical se- curity. At IT2Industry, companies will offer best-practice examp- les and services for selecting the right standards and norms. Student Day: Wo geht es hin? Talking and Networking Exciting forums and live demonstrations at the productronica B esides the many lectures in the SMT Speakers Corner in Hall A1, the PCB & EMS Speakers Corner in Hall B1 and the Innovation Forum in Hall B3 are being held within the scope of the High- light Days Roundtable Discussions. On the topic “Industry 4.0 meets EMS”, among other things, rep- resentatives of several firms will discuss the question: “(How) Is In- dustry 4.0 changing the manufac- turing and development services world and/or how smart will EMS be in the future?” Discussions about security The Automotive Electronics Man- ufacturing Highlight Day will be flanked by a panel discussion on the complex main theme of securi- ty through reliable electronics man- ufacturing. Discussion participants from the entire value chain – from semiconductors and assembly/ packaging technology to EMS, tier 1 sup- pliers and OEMs – will discuss the latest issues that pertain to safety and security in all stages of creating value, always with a focus on electronics manufacturing. The third highlight topic is industrial electronics manufacturing. This sector constantly needs new solutions to meet the market’s requirements in areas such as complexity, just-in-time delivery, ze- ro-defect strategy and price pressure. Intelligent software solutions, network- ing and Industry 4.0 are the latest catch- phrases. The Roundtable “Industrial Electron- ics Manufacturing” creates a link from the demands that customers place on industrial electronics using machine manufacturers as an exam- ple to electronics manufacturers as solution providers and suppliers of innovative electronics equipment, which makes manufacturers competitive. In hands-on sessions and work- shops, visitors can gather informa- tion about various processes and technologies based on concrete application examples directly at the exhibitors’ stands. Handsoldering Contest and clean technology During the last exhibition, sever- al visitors participated in the IPC Handsoldering Competition. Or- ganized by Messe München, IPC Europe and IPC USA, the compe- tition is being held again this year – at Stand 405 in Hall A2. Partici- pants must meet the challenge of soldering a functioning electron- ic assembly by hand in 60 minutes. The objective of the Cleanroom Event Stage is to give all visitors the most com- prehensive range of information possi- ble and to make it as easy and efficient as possible for everyone to get started in cleanroom technology.
