The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) has selected this year’s honorees of its 20 Under 30 recognition program, which affords young professional exhibitions and events organizer members the opportunity to experience Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held 11-13 December 2018 in New Orleans, La.

The jury of the 22nd International Fair Poster Competition has announced this year's Grand Award winners. In the first category, Expoforum International in Russia was recognised for its "Nested Russian Doll" poster. Feria de Madrid was recognised in the second category for its "Fruit Attraction" poster series.

"Campus Germany" - that will be the name of Germany's pavilion at the 2020 World Expo, to be held in Dubai. Focusing on sustainability, the German Pavilion will be an entertaining, surprising, hands-on and digital showcase of German innovations and solutions in the field.

Easyfairs, the Brussels-based event organiser and venue manager, has been nominated as one of five "Enterprise of the year" finalists for 2018. Since 1996, this has been the most prestigious award "reserved exclusively for the absolute elite" of Belgian companies, the trade fair organiser reports.

UFI’s inaugural Latin American Conference took place on 18-19 September at the World Trade Center, Mexico City. The event was the perfect opportunity for participants to discuss common strategies for different realities in Latin America. 14 speakers from around the Americas shared their insights and experiences with the audience.

UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has named Stockholmsmässan as winner of the UFI Operations & Services Award 2018, for their “Roboplotter” project – a robotised floor-marker system, transforming physically demanding labour into an easy task, managed by an operator.

The space sold at Asian trade fairs in 2017 grows faster than forecast: Looking at the growth of Asian exhibitions in terms of net space sold, there was an average increase of 7 per cent, reaching 22 million sqm. More than half of the total net space sold was in China (58 per cent), totalling 13 million sqm, UFI reports.

The 2020 UFI Global Congress will be held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, and will be hosted by the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry announced. "We are delighted to be returning to the Middle East," UFI President, Corrado Peraboni said.

New partnership in Colombia: the Messe Düsseldorf Group will hold a 50 per cent stake in Meditech Colombia (Bogota) via its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf North America (Chicago), become involved in organizing the event and accelerate its marketing using its worldwide network of 75 overseas branches and 12 affiliated and subsidiary companies spread over 139.

For its Southern African business, Messe München has appointed Suzette Scheepers, a senior executive and event expert with international experience. She is the new Chief Executive Officer of Messe Muenchen South Africa and BC Expo South Africa, the trade fair organiser reported.
