Aluminium India 2019 has clearly evidenced the future market opportunities and rising demand for technologies in the aluminium industry on the Indian continent. In excess of 2,000 visitors travelled to the East Indian city of Bhubaneswar to visit the trade fair, organiser Reed Exhibitions reported.

At Intec and Z 2019, some 1,300 exhibitors will present innovative products, sophisticated technology, and complex services in Leipzig. „In February, the trade fair combination Intec and Z will become the centre of the metal working and subcontracting industries,“ explains Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe.

Hannover Messe 2019 will be taking a very close and comprehensive look at what lightweight has to offer industrial manufacturing and other disciplines and why it is such a key technology for the future. The industry trade fair returns on 1-5 April, 2018.

With a new exhibition area "IoT in production", EMO Hannover wants to underscore its claim to position itself as a platform for networking in production. EMO Hannover 2019 will take place from 16 to 21 September under the motto "Smart technologies driving tomorrow's production."

Following the announcement made by the Association of Turkish Machine Manufacturers concerning the fact that they will be supporting WIN Eurasia, this year the Istanbul-based trade fair will become stronger with the addition of Turkish Machine Manufacturers who are the manufacturing power of Turkey.

Roughly one year before the upcoming Blechexpo in 2019, the organiser P.E. Schall has registered 150 additional primary exhibitors and 10,000 square meters of exhibition floor space more than during the same period of time preceding the last edition of the double trade fair.

Alucast, the trade fair for the die-casting and aluminium industries in India, will take place on 6 to 8 December 2018 at the India Expo Mart (IELM) in Greater Noida, U.O. (Delhi-NCR). The trade fair is held every second year in different locations around India, and is accompanied by an extensive conference programme.

At EuroBLECH, a total of 56,301 visitors from around the world came to Hanover to get an overview of the latest innovations and digital technologies for sheet metal working and to invest in new manufacturing machinery. A total of 1,507 companies from 40 countries exhibited at this year’s show.

A new process for joining materials with different properties has been developed by Fraunhofer IWS. Thermal direct joining presses laser-structured metal with thermoplastic components and heats them locally. This causes the thermoplastic to melt, to penetrate into the structures and to adhere to the surface.

Components for commercial vehicles such as excavators, trucks or forklifts should be as light as possible, yet stable and durable. At the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TUK), engineers rely on a 3D metal printer with which they can produce components in one piece. This technology permits to produce more filigree and lighter parts than with conventional processes.
