Having taken off to become the world’s leading exhibition for additive manufacturing and modern industrial production in recent years, Formnext continues this development at a record pace in 2019. 518 exhibitors have already registered for Formnext this year. This is another significant increase compared to the same time the year before.

In June 2019, Düsseldorf turns into the hotspot for international foundry and metallurgy technology: Some 2,000 international exhibitors will take part in the world’s leading trade fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST from June 25 to 29.

Tool, pattern and mould making companies, as well as their customers and technology suppliers from Germany, Europe and the entire world have a must-attend event in Stuttgart in spring 2019: the industry will meet at Moulding Expo, International Trade Fair for Tool, Pattern and Mould Making, from 21 to 24 May 2019.

This year's India Essen Welding & Cutting, which took place together with the Tube India, Metallurgy India and Wire & Cable India fairs, drawed more than 4,500 trade visitors from 14 countries, the quartet registered a plus of more than 19 per cent compared with the preceding event (in 2016: 12,282).

Together with an industry partner, specialists of the Swiss research institute Empa (Eidgenössische Materialprüfungs- und Forschungsanstalt) have developed a new flame retardant for wood and wood-based materials. The colourless additive, which can be easily mixed with coatings and cellulose materials, opens up new applications for wood processing companies.
