Together with an industry partner, specialists of the Swiss research institute Empa (Eidgenössische Materialprüfungs- und Forschungsanstalt) have developed a new flame retardant for wood and wood-based materials. The colourless additive, which can be easily mixed with coatings and cellulose materials, opens up new applications for wood processing companies.

The leading Russian trade fair for the wire and cable industries – wire Russia – will be held as a stand-alone event in Moscow from 18 to 20 June 2019. This move is designed to strengthen the brand and make possible further growth at the Moscow exhibition location Krasnaya Presnya. In excess of 200 companies are expected from 25 countries.

At Intec and Z 2019, some 1,300 exhibitors will present innovative products, sophisticated technology, and complex services in Leipzig. „In February, the trade fair combination Intec and Z will become the centre of the metal working and subcontracting industries,“ explains Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe.

With a new exhibition area "IoT in production", EMO Hannover wants to underscore its claim to position itself as a platform for networking in production. EMO Hannover 2019 will take place from 16 to 21 September under the motto "Smart technologies driving tomorrow's production."

Roughly one year before the upcoming Blechexpo in 2019, the organiser P.E. Schall has registered 150 additional primary exhibitors and 10,000 square meters of exhibition floor space more than during the same period of time preceding the last edition of the double trade fair.
