Trade fair business
UFI - the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry has released a thought-provoking report that focuses on visitors of exhibitions around the globe. This report was jointly researched, written and supported by SISO, the Society of Independent Show Organizers (USA).
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) announced the launch of its newest initiative: the IAEE Certified Exhibition Program. This certified exhibition designation will set the “Gold Standard” for exhibitions and events, as well as establish a broad set of best practices that all events with exhibitions should adhere to.
UFI has released its "Best Practices in Sustainability" report, which showcases the winning and shortlisted entries for the sustainability awards UFI has run since 2012.
German exhibition company NürnbergMesse Group has partnered with Broadcast India, the trade fair for the entertainment industry, with its subsidiary NürnbergMesse India.
Expomobilia, a subsidiary of the MCH Group AG, is expanding its presence and geographic reach in Asia. The company established the fully owned subsidiary Expomobilia Shanghai Ltd in Shanghai.
Katariina Rohrbach (45) was named Senior Vice President of the newly established Services division at the Deutsche Messe group of companies, the trade fair organizer announced.
In Frankfurt the foundation stone is laid for the new hall 12 in the West portion of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. The new hall will be inaugurated in time for Automechanika 2018.
Reed MIDEM, organiser of MIPTV/MIPCOM, announced the launch of MIP China Hangzhou, the first ever MIP in China, which will run 23-25 May 2017 in Hangzhou.
