Last year the two complementary technical events, namely the Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal processing and the Schweisstec international trade fair joining technology, took place at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from 3 to 6 November 2015 under good economic, although somewhat difficult political conditions. With a total of 1234 exhibitors from 36 countries, overall exhibition floor space amounting to 990,000 square feet and, last but not least, 38,136 expert visitors from 110 nations, private trade fair promoters and market developers P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG are announcing record-breaking numbers across the board, which reflect continuous growth as well.
The Schweisstec stands for thermal cutting and processing, thermal and mechanical joining, fastening technologies and processes, automation for welding and cutting technology, applications, accessories and operating equipment, while Blechexpo's focus is on sheet metal processing machines, cutting and forming technology, pipe and profile processing, joining and fastening solutions, as well as semi-finished products made of sheet metal, pipe and profile.

The next Blechexpo-Schweisstec doubleheader trade fair will take place from 7 to 10 November 2017 and is expected to occupy the entire facility at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre.

Blechexpo 2019 on growth course

Blechexpo 2015: More robots and handling systems than ever
The annual event for the sheet metal, pipe and profile processing industries, the Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal processing and the Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology, will be focusing on solutions which are aligned to process sequences – and the automation of processes and materials handling plays a significant role in this respect. As a result, more robots and handling systems will be showcased at Blechexpo and Schweisstec than ever before, and the same applies above all to automated thermal curing and joining technology, as well as mechanical fastening.
