The key innovative features and improvements to the new productpilot.com include: a new dashboard that displays new messages, new contact requests and new business matching results.
“Approximately 21,000 Messe Frankfurt exhibitors, many of whom are market-leading suppliers as well as a large number of buyers use the online portal. Since the launch of productpilot.com in 2006, the number of company and product presentations including the number of users have risen steadily,” says Klaus Reinke, Chief of Corporate Strategy & Organization and member of the management of Messe Frankfurt, in summarising the success of the portal.

The ever-growing interest in online business matching has moved Messe Frankfurt to revise productpilot.com and develop new technical possibilities accordingly. The goals relaunch carried out by the Dexperty team -digital experts at Messe Frankfurt- were to live up to the motto “Search for a product. Gain a world of contacts.” by optimising navigation, offering new features and an innovative design. The result was thus a comprehensive redesign of the platform.

The key innovative features and improvements to the new productpilot.com include: a new dashboard that displays new messages, new contact requests and new business matching results, thus making it easier to establish contacts as well as a responsive design for optimised use on mobile end devices. The structure of the B2B supplier portal, which is based on the key topics of Messe Frankfurt, focusses on six industry clusters (Habitation & Living, Textiles & Clothing, Automotive & Infrastructure, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Industrial Equipment & Plant Manufacturing as well as Entertainment & IT). The platform can be used by consumers globally in German, English and simplified Chinese.

Search features have been optimised for a better user experience and make it easier for commercial buyers to find offers displayed. Optimised contact options make communicating with potential business partners convenient and simple. What’s more, the business matching feature makes it possible to automatically send notifications when new offers have been placed in the corresponding “Wizards” in productpilot.com in the areas of interest of potential buyers.

Currently, all exhibitors of events at Messe Frankfurt at the Frankfurt am Main location can use the B2B supplier portal to present their companies and products. This service is available as part of the media package which includes the company's presentation and up to five product presentations. Paid for online marketing add-ons such as additional content, links to websites, shops or social media channels as well as videos can help to further expand such an online presence.

Buyers and prospective buyers can register for free on productpilot.com, create a personal user profile and use the entire range of services offered by the B2B platform. The online portal offers them the ability to find suitable suppliers, service providers and partners. Thanks to the cross-industry search feature, buyers have a broad overview of the entire offering on the market. They can get information about suitable suppliers and contact them directly.
