UBM Philippines is now bringing ProPak - the world-renowned processing and packaging event, to the Philippines. The launch of ProPak Philippines will be held on 24 - 26 January 2019 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City, the trade fair organiser announces.

FachPack 2018 brought about 45,000 trade visitors (2016: 41,014) to Nuremberg from 25 to 27 September to learn about innovations and trends in the packaging industry. This represents an increase of more than eight per cent compared to the previous event in the series.

Researchers at Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, have created a material derived from crab shells and tree fibers that has the potential to replace the flexible plastic packaging used to keep food fresh. The new material is made by spraying multiple layers of chitin from crab shells and cellulose from trees to form a flexible film.

The interpack alliance trade fairs pacprocess India, food pex India and indiapack (organized by the Indian Institute of Packaging) are on the road to success: Spread over 19,000 square meters of exhibition space, 350 exhibitors are expected to attend, among them global players and market leaders.

There are still five months to go until the second edition of InPrint Italy, scheduled to take place at the MiCo Convention Centre in Milan 20 - 22 November 2018. 85 per cent of the exhibition space has already been booked by big industry players as well as small- and medium-sized businesses, brought together by a strong spirit of innovation.
