This year's C-star - Shanghai's International Trade Fair for Solutions and Trends All about Retail, drawed a total of 13,674 visitors (an 5 per cent increase from the previous year’s event). C-star once again proved its commanding position as the most international and professional business platform in China’s retail industry.

The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) announced the launch of the VIP Buying Team Program for this year’s Process Expo taking place October 8-11, 2019 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The VIP Program is intended to facilitate attendance for groups of five attendees or more.

The 12th in-store asia (isa) – the biggest trade fair for retail on the Indian subcontinent, will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai from 14 – 16 March 2019. It comprises a trade fair bringing together all leading suppliers of solutions specifically for the Indian retail industry under one roof.

At EuroCIS 2019, the leading trade fair for retail technology, 482 exhibitors from 39 nations presented IT solutions for all areas of retail. More than 13,000 experts travelled to the Rhine to browse the ranges specifically tailored to retailers and their partners. This corresponds to a 10 per cent increase in visitors hailing from some 94 nations.

A world without brick-and-mortar stores? Even avid online shoppers say, ‘no, thanks’. A new study, led by the University of Arizona, examined consumers’ perceptions of today’s changing retail environment. University of Arizona researcher Sabrina Helm and her colleagues surveyed nearly 400 consumers about their shopping habits and perceptions of today’s retail environment.
