Protection of the world’s oceans and waterways has been an issue of central importance to boot Düsseldorf for many years now. Starting this year, the leading international water sports trade fair is now a supporter of the “ocean tribute” Award. On behalf of his foundation and the German Ocean Foundation, Prince Albert of Monaco called on the scientific and industrial communities as well as society in general to enter projects for the Award when he spoke at boot 2017.

A team of researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM in Dresden is developing resorbable pacing leads that can significantly reduce risk factors after cardiac surgery. In collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus – TU Dresden, the institute’s researchers are adopting this novel approach in the project “Resorbable Molybdenum Temporary Cardiac Electrodes,” or “ReMoTe CarE” for short. Lightweight construction – Natural fibre-reinforced plastics
To respond individual customer requirements and to meet social and political responsibility, a research project was carried out in cooperation between Ansmann AG and Fraunhofer Institute für Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF. Aim was the development of natural fibre-reinforced plastics for usage in Li-ion battery housings. Fraunhofer Researchers will present more details at the Fraunhofer booth in Hall 7, SC01 at K 2022. Cognitive T-slot sensor concept
Forming presses are widely used as key elements of industrial production processes. From automotive technology to refrigerators, almost every product we encounter contains formed parts. The purchasing costs of these machines can reach double-digit millions, and it takes a great deal of time to set up and adjust precisely as needed. Given such a high level of investment, buyers expect machinery of this kind to keep running efficiently for a long time without any loss in quality. At the Hannover Messe, the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Cognitive Internet Technologies CCIT will demonstrate how cognitive transformation of industrial processes can improve the efficiency of forming machines (Hall 5, Booth A06). electronica 2020 to be held digitally
Messe München will organize the world’s leading trade fair and conference for electronics as a virtual event this year. The current travel restrictions in Europe, which are becoming more stringent, have required a re-thinking of planning. The digital format for electronica in November will give exhibitors the opportunity to book digital trade fair booths. electronica virtual will also provide all customers additional ways to interact and network.
