20 November 2020Motek/Bondexpo 2021: There’s Nothing Like a Live Event!
The industry is preparing for participation at Motek/Bondexpo in Stuttgart from the 5th through the 8th of October, 2021. As digital trade fair platforms, Motek-Virtual and Bondexpo-Virtual are currently proving their worth as effective and useful online marketplaces by making it possible to maintain business contacts between manufacturers and users, but all involved parties are nevertheless urgently awaiting the next edition of the on-site event.

Especially in our current situation, it becomes clear how important it is to implement automation intelligence for production and assembly effectively, and on an industrial scale. This is why the Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly, along with the complementary Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology, is one of the most important technical events for many companies in the fields of production and assembly automation, as well as joining and bonding technology – for exhibitors as well as expert visitors. “Online trade fairs and virtual events are good, and they’re very important at the moment,” observes Bettina Schall, managing director of P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG. “They provide the exhibitors with the opportunity of presenting their trade fair highlights and new developments, and of getting in touch with users. But the personal professional exchange of information is and will remain indispensable,” stresses the trade fair promoter.
Digital Technologies are No Substitute for Actual Experience
The exhibitors and the expert visitors agree on this point. “The rebooking rates are exceeding our expectations, because everyone wants to present their companies again at on-site events,” reports project manager Mike Döring. Looking ahead to the new year, attention will once again be focused on participation at on-site trade fairs: “Of course we’ll be exhibiting again at Motek in 2021,” explains Marcel Pfeiffer, Head of Marketing / Head of Design at the Zimmer Group. “We’ve been on hand with our booth every year without interruption right from the very start. We’re especially looking forward to presenting our products on site again, because there’s nothing like a live event if you want to get people emotionally involved. It’s important to be able to touch products, experience their function and see how they’re used in order to engage in technical discussions. “Digital technologies can’t replace a multisensory experience,” notes Marcel Pfeiffer.
Joyful Anticipation: “Communicating Face-to-Face with Lots of Returning and New Expert Visitors”
The importance of Motek is also underscored by Alexander Luna Garcia, Sales GI Robots & Products, Yaskawa Europe: “Motek is one of our most important trade fairs in the German-speaking countries where robots for handling applications are concerned. We field lots of concrete RFQs for authentic projects every year, as well as terrific feedback”. Alexander Luna Garcia also praises the highly useful Motek-Virtual platform with its simplicity and functionality, which makes it user-friendly and easy to navigate for the visitors. But he’s also focussing on the live Motek/Bondexpo in 2021 – because: “Seeing each other once is better than hearing from each other a hundred times.”
The industry is looking forward to the next Motek/Bondexpo as the leading trade fair for the world of automation. Together with the exhibitors, trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG are paving the way for the modern industrial future. A full spectrum of products and services including components, assemblies, subsystems and complete systems for automated production and assembly, combined with joining technology as an essential constituent of industrial manufacturing, will be presented in Stuttgart from the 5th through the 8th of October, 2021.
