In Tehran, AMB Iran will be held from 23 to 26 May 2017.
The exhibitors were primarily interested in renewing existing contacts and forging new contacts with trading partners and representatives. 2,127 visitors from Iran offered amply opportunity in this respect. 475 trade visitors also attended the accompanying symposium. "The success of the first AMB Iran proves that it was a good strategy to enter the developing market of Iran with the successful brand," concluded Ulrich Kromer, CEO of Messe Stuttgart. "The good international networking of the VDW, our experience in staging symposiums and the excellent cooperation with Messe Stuttgart were the main factors which contributed to the success of the first event," added Dr.-Ing. Wilfried Schäfer, Managing Director of the VDW.

The exhibitors drew satisfied conclusions from the expertise of the visitors at the first AMB Iran. For example, 86 per cent of visitors classified themselves as belonging to industry. The most widely represented areas were automotive (33 per cent), components suppliers (13 per cent) and moulding (9 per cent). Contrary to the well-known backdrop with large machinery on the exhibition stands, the exhibitors - apart from a few exceptions - contented themselves with smaller company presentations during the première of AMB Iran. The quality of the discussions did not dampen the mood. Lively discussions could be seen on the exhibition stands on every day of the event. That's because 95 per cent of trade visitors were, by their own account, involved in purchasing and investment decisions. And 74 per cent of visitors stated that they monitor specific purchase and investment intentions.

68 out of the 111 exhibitors came from Germany. Other represented countries were, for example, Italy with 18 exhibitors, Switzerland with 9 exhibitors and Austria with 3 exhibitors. These exhibitors included world market leaders, key industry players and medium-sized enterprises. 26 exhibitors participated in the accompanying symposium. The next AMB Iran will be held from 23 to 26 May 2017. But then at the recently opened new trade fair centre in Tehran, i.e. the Shahr-e-Aftab Complex.
