“Fruit Logistica is the central hub for all global trading operations and a must for anyone looking to increase their exports”, says Fruit Logistica’s Global Brand Manager Wilfried Wollbold. In February 2016, more than 70,000 buyers and trade visitors from over 130 countries and every continent met at the world’s leading trade fair for the fresh produce industry. Wollbold is confident about the level of registrations for Fruit Logistica 2017, which takes place from 8 to 10 February. “The demand for exhibition space at next year’s Fruit Logistica again exceeds the level of the previous event, which was already very high. Exhibitors and trade visitors can look forward to three trade fair days of outstanding commercial significance.”
The agricultural policy pursued by Brussels is on the threshold of a paradigm shift in terms of the promotion of fresh produce. Until now, 70 per cent of funds have been directed towards the European market, with 30 per cent available for non-EU countries. This balance will soon be reversed. “Exports are clearly the future of the industry,” according to Miguel Ceballos Barón from the European Trade Commission. Efforts to stimulate exports are designed to help capture growth markets such as those in Asia, India and Africa.

Asia Fruit Logistica with 13,500 visitors
