In 2019 Finland will be the partner country of the International Green Week Berlin (IGW), marking the first time that a Scandinavian country will hold this title, organiser Messe Berlin announces. The "Land of a Thousand Lakes" next year will celebrate its twenty-fifth participation in the fair.

For the first time, Messe Stuttgart offers with CastForge a separate trade fair for castings and forgings with processing. The new industry show takes place from 5 to 7 June 2018 at the Stuttgart trade fair centre, the organiser announces.

Investigating technologies for the manufacturing of translucent and transparent membrane roof and façade elements with integrated optoelectronic components is the main goal of the research project "FLEX-G". The focus lies on a switchable total energy transmittance and on flexible solar cell integration.

The GrindTec specialist trade fair will once more grow significantly in 2018. 630 registrations correspond to a plus of 9 per cent. The area occupied has correspondingly grown by 3,000 to 45,000 square metres. GrindTec returns with nine exhibition halls, two more than in 2016.

This year's IPACK-IMA - Italian trade fair for processing and packaging, will extend over eight halls divided up according to exhibitor business communities or the specific types of products. In Milan, Halls 1 and 3 will be devoted to technologies, materials and accessories for the pasta, bakery, milling and confectionary industries.
