The Dream Tour programme in Hall 7.1 offers shows on six caravanning trips: France, Mongolia and Central Asia, the Panamericana, Japan, Norway and Russia as well as Australia. The multi-vision shows in the Dream Tour Cinema are screened daily, every hour from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. The Cinema can be accessed via the North Entrance or Hall 7. Admission to these shows is included in the ticket for the Caravan Salon.
A fascinating trip through steppes, deserts and mountains leads us to Mongolia and Central Asia. A sky without condensation trails, wide landscapes without fences and hundreds of kilometres without signposts – can you still experience that today? Yes, you can. On his dream tour Kostya Abert experiences “long-distance bliss” and sets off with his motorhome on a great journey to the east. There is no RV park guide for this region, you can park wherever you like – freely in the wild.
After an adventurous day driving through the vast steppes, simply leave the road, follow a dirt road and stop at the first nice opportunity. Flush your home on wheels with the fragrance of the steppe over night and wake up the next morning as if reborn. The high mountains of Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Mongolia can be reached via the Central Asian desert and steppe landscapes of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Welcome to awe-inspiring mountain landscapes, their warm and hospitable pastoral tribes, wild horses, camels and shaggy yaks.
A more conventional destination for RVers is France, which is hard to beat when it comes to infrastructure for motorhome users. Janette Emerich will take visitors on a motorhome tour from the Loire to the Atlantic Ocean, starting from the tranquil Riquewihr in Alsace via the mustard town of Dijon and the historic town of Bordeaux to the Auvergne.

CARAVAN SALON: Exhibitors announce over 200 new products in the run-up to the trade fair
Be it a German premiere or even a global first – CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF will also rise to its reputation as a launch-pad trade fair for caravans and motorhomes in 2020. In excess of 350 exhibitors will be showcasing a host of innovations in ten halls from 4 to 13 September. The focus here will be on the new recreational vehicles for the model year 2021. Already in the run-up to the trade fair numerous renowned exhibitors have announced their new products. Experience from previous years shows that many other highlights will only be unveiled at the beginning of the trade fair. CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf rescheduled: 5 – 13 September 2020
The effects of Coronavirus Covid-19 and the joint decision taken by the German Governmentand the German states to prohibit major events until 31August 2020 as a matter of principle, also have an impact on CARAVAN SALON 2020, which was scheduled to start on 28 August. Messe Düsseldorf, together with the Caravaning Industrie Verband(CIVD), hasdecided to postpone the start of the fair by one week.The Press and Trade Visitor Day will thus take place on 4 September. Caravan Salon: New catering concept at the Caravan Center
At the Caravan Center – Europe’s largest caravan site, the catering and food concept has been completely revamped and modernized. In addition to an expanded menu, a lounge area, food trucks and a kiosk will be integrated into the concept for the first time, the organiser announced. (more…)
