TÜV SÜD is playing a key role in developing the new batteries with its global network of battery testing centres. Electromobility will be one of numerous focal subjects for the international service provider’s presence at the 2015 IAA. Further subjects addressed by TÜV SÜD at the trade show will include automated driving, damage management services and services related to vehicle development.

Electric vehicles: New batteries to offer greater range
A new generation of electric vehicles containing significantly more powerful batteries is preparing for launch at the 2015 IAA – coinciding perfectly with the market push planned by the German government and National Electric Mobility Platform. With ranges of 250 – 400 kilometres, these vehicles are increasingly interesting options for fleet operators, becoming cost-effective alternatives that can actually outperform petrol-driven vehicles in terms of mileage.

IAA Cars starts with 210 world premieres
