High-precision miniature components play a major role in industrial automation
The international trade fair for innovative supplier solutions is presenting the whole range of competing and mutually beneficial materials and processes in halls 4, 5 and 6. Visitors can take a voyage of discovery through myriad industrial applications, and will also find suppliers who see themselves as development partners keen on collaborating with OEMs to create best-fit solutions.

Micro-technology as a key prerequisite for Industry 4.0

Tomorrow’s high-tech supplier trends are on show at a joint pavilion under the motto "Micro, Nano & Materials" being staged at Industrial Supply 2016. The exhibitors have once again put together an impressive array of micro- and nano-technologies as key enablers: micro-components, microstructures and sensor systems, intelligent laser processing systems and high-precision 3D measuring processes, energy harvesting and nanotechnology applications. All of today’s hottest topics in the sector will also be addressed, e.g. systems integration, robotics and Industry 4.0. High-precision miniature components such as sensors and actuators play a major role in industrial automation, and the joint pavilion will provide proof positive that Industry 4.0 cannot be realized without micro-technology solutions.

Over 1,600 subcontractors from 50 nations

In 2015, over 1,600 subcontractors from just on 50 nations showcased their know-how and capabilities to trade visitors in the Industrial Supply halls (4, 5 and 6) the Hannover Exhibition Center. The level of international participation at the show is unparalleled, with around 75 and 40 percent of its exhibitors and visitors, respectively, coming from outside Germany in 2015. The biggest exhibiting nation, after Germany, was China, with 3,900 square meters (about 42,000 sq. ft.) of exhibition space, followed by Turkey, with around 2,380 square meters (25,600 sq. ft.). Italy was third, with over 2,300 square meters (over 24,700 sq. ft.), the Netherlands came fourth with over 2000 square meters, and India came in at number five with just on 1,500 square meters.
