It’s the place to see new products, network with other attendees and exhibitors, attend educational seminars, and meet with big brands. It’s also one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the industry. In short, whether you’re a retailer, manufacturer or distributor, if you’re part of the home improvement industry, this is a can’t-miss event. “We’re looking forward to providing all our attendees and exhibitors with a productive, memorable few days at the Show,” says Rich Russo, vice president of the National Hardware Show. “We have made a few changes, based on customer feedback, to make the Show the best it can be. We can’t wait to see everyone in Las Vegas in May.”
New features
Attendees will see a few changes at this year’s Show. First, the Show will run from Wednesday through Friday (instead of Tuesday through Thursday, as it’s been in past years). And, thanks to attendee feedback, the Show will also move back to the North and Central halls of the convention center in order to offer a more convenient and complete Show experience. One category in particular will see some changes this year. Tailgate, Backyard & BBQ (formerly Outdoors, Tailgate & Recreation) will be moving back to the Silver Parking Lot in front of the convention center. Attendees will be able to take in an enhanced outdoor experience, with a chance to see an expanded selection of products from Lawn, Garden & Outdoor Living and try a variety of new activities.
New products
Most attendees who come to the National Hardware Show are looking for new products. And at the Show, there’s no shortage of places to find them. Inventors Spotlight features products that aren’t yet on the market, and New Product World offers a look at the newest products, innovations and trends in the industry. New Product Launch gives attendees an inside look into up-and-coming products that just might be “the next big thing.”
New this year, the Show is providing attendees with personalized exhibitor and product recommendations. When you register for the Show, you’ll be asked to provide information about which product categories you’re interested in shopping at this year’s Show or learning more about, and in turn, you’ll receive a personalized list of suggested exhibitors and products so you can more easily find exactly what you’re looking for.
Also make sure to check out some specialty areas, which will also showcase new products, as well as many other products your customers will love. The Made in USA and Energy Efficient areas focus on those two trends, which are currently very popular among consumers, and Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Recovery will highlight products from a quickly growing category. Lawn, Garden & Outdoor Living will have everything you need for spring and summer. And don’t forget about the awards programs, such as the Homewares Awards, which will recognize specific products and manufacturers.
The National Hardware Show celebrates a rich history spanning 71 years of serving the home improvement marketplace. Today, the National Hardware Show is the place for global manufacturers, associations, organizations and the media to unveil their new products, ideas and insight to a broad spectrum of home improvement resellers.
