The 18,000m2 building, designed by Wilmotte et Associés SA, will house a 1,200-seat auditorium, 15 meeting rooms (with capacities ranging from 25 to 400 people), a total of 4,300m2 of exhibition area, an interior logistics courtyard, a restaurant and an F&B preparation area for caterers, capable of providing for gala dinners for 1,200 people.
As a stepping stone between the new Amphithéâtre district and the historic centre of Metz, it will add to the diversity of the area’s cultural and business events. Its strategic location will make it a genuine focal point, attracting people from the north and south of France as well as from abroad.
New Metz Convention Centre to open in 2018
Sponsored by the City of Metz, the Metz Métropole council and the Moselle Département, the new convention centre aims to boost the economic attractiveness of the city and its conurbation. Situated near the city city, it will be easily accessible by all transport means. GL events is charge of operating the venue, which is scheduled to open during the first half of 2018.
