Messe München is buying CTT EXPO in Moscow, the world’s fifth largest construction machinery trade fair. This acquisition is both the biggest and most important purchase in Messe München's history. The seller is private Russian trade fair company Media Globe LLC. For Messe München the commitment in Moscow is the entrée to a new market.

Messe München to foster its engagement in Russia
Messe München further enhances the integration of its Russian business into the group. The subsidiary CTT Expo LLC has a new company name: Messe Muenchen Rus LLC. Strategic step forward: Messe München has taken over Lab Africa, a laboratory and analytics trade fair in South Africa, to integrate it in the analytica trade fair network. Due to the pandemic, The smarter E Europe and its four concurrent energy exhibitions Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe will no longer take place from July 21–23, 2021. Instead, The smarter E Europe Restart 2021 will be staged at Messe München from October 6–8. The smarter E Industry Days, including the award ceremony for The smarter E AWARD, Intersolar AWARD and ees AWARD 2021, will be held online from July 21–23, 2021 when the in-person event should have taken place. Postponement of The smarter E Europe 2021
The smarter E Europe with its four exhibitions Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe will be moved back by six weeks to the second half of 2021. The innovation hub for the new energy world will now take place from July 21–23, 2021, at Messe München. BAU ONLINE: “Driving business”

Although Messe München does have a tried-and-tested hygiene concept, BAU, the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, will not be held from January 11 to 16, 2021 as a conventional in-person event. This was the clear decision from the Messe München meeting with the Advisory Board and Board of Trustees of BAU on 30.09.2020. Instead, there will be a hybrid format from January 13 to 15, 2021, offering exhibitors the opportunity to present their innovations to a wide audience. The digital part of this event will also be an important part of the conventional in-person BAU 2023 trade fair. (more…)
