The smarter E Europe with its four exhibitions Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe will be moved back by six weeks to the second half of 2021. The innovation hub for the new energy world will now take place from July 21–23, 2021, at Messe München. The smarter E Europe is Europe’s largest platform for the energy industry and the most important meeting point for the new energy world.

LogiMAT—the International Trade Show for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management scheduled for June 22–24, 2021, in Stuttgart, Germany—has to be postponed due to the difficult ongoing situation with Covid-19. The organizer, EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH, has decided to push back the upcoming trade show to March 8–10, 2022, to give exhibitors the certainty they need for long-term planning. The organizer is working on a digital concept so that visitors and exhibitors can still meet virtually in 2021.

The dates for BIOFACH and VIVANESS 2022 have been finalised. BIOFACH, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food and VIVANESS, the International Trade Fair for Natural and Organic Personal Care, will be held on 15–18 February 2022, which will mark the start of a new Tuesday to Friday schedule.

With a view to the unchanged challenges the Corona pandemic is raising in Germany and the anticipated continuation of the extensive restriction of personal contacts by the Government, States and municipalities at the beginning of the new year, the VDDI board, the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der DentalIndustrie mbH (GFDI) (the commercial enterprise of the VDDI) and Koelnmesse have decided to postpone IDS - the International Dental Show. The trade fair that was originally planned to take place from 10 to 13 March, will now be held from 22 to 25 September 2021. The organisers are taking this step in reaction to the currently ongoing Corona policy, which may be extended in Germany into the new year. By postponing the 39th edition of IDS to the September, the organisers are hoping that due to the then anticipated, improved health situation and relaxation of the travel restrictions more international partners and customers will travel to Cologne.

The pandemic and associated travel and event restrictions have also had an impact on Anuga FoodTec, which was originally scheduled for March 2021. After extensive discussions with industry participants and the German Agricultural Society (DLG), the professional and conceptual sponsor of the trade fair, Koelnmesse sees no alternative but to postpone Anuga FoodTec. The next Anuga FoodTec will take place from 26 to 29 April 2022.

Trade fair cycle 2021 to kick off with boot in April / Short-time work to be increased at the home base Düsseldorf
Following close consultation with exhibitors, partners and associations, Messe Düsseldorf has decided to call off all currently planned dates for its events in Düsseldorf until April 2021. This decision encompasses the trade fairs boot (23-31/1), tasc (19-20/2), interpack and components (25/2-3/3), Energy Storage Europe (16-18/3), EuroCIS (16-18/3), ProWein (19-23/3) and drupa (20-28/4). boot Düsseldorf will be re-scheduled for 17 to 25 April 2021 while the other aforementioned B2B trade fairs will be held in line with their usual cycles.

The dates for INTERSCHUTZ have been changed, with the event now takingplace from 20 to 25 June 2022. The decision to reschedule the world's leading trade fair fire, rescue, civil protection and safety/security was taken by Deutsche Messe after a process of thorough deliberation and intensive discussion with key market players. In a context that has affected numerous other trade fairs and events, the move was driven bythe latest developments in the global status of the COVID 19 pandemic.
