The preparations for the sectors next worldwide rendezvous have now begun and the initial parameters for 2018 are being set. The concept of integrating the World Congress within the space occupied by the international trade show was awarded top marks by visitors, speakers and exhibitors alike, which is why it is again planned to build the OTWorld Congress Centre inside Exhibition Hall 3. As well as the unique atmosphere in the open-plan rooms, it was, above all, the short distances between the lecture rooms and the trade exhibition that were particularly well received.
In addition, after consultation with the Exhibitors Advisory Committee, it was decided to postpone the event by one week; so that, in 2018, OTWorld will be inviting people to attend this large sector rendezvous, a week later, from 15 to 18 May. These framework parameters now offer the best conditions in which to successfully develop OTWorld further – in collaboration with its partners.
The World Congress and the International Trade Show OTWorld represent a unique offering for orthopaedic technicians, orthopaedic shoemakers, rehabilitation technicians, therapists and doctors, engineers, medical supplies retailers and staff of health insurance companies and healthcare funding organisations. In 2016, OTWorld attracted 21,300 visitors from 86 countries, together with 542 exhibitors from 43 nations.
Looking at OTWorld 2018
The international rendezvous, to be held in two years time, is now set to begin a week later. The new dates for OTWorld, International Trade Show and World Congress, in 2018 are 15 to 18 May.
