Last time, nearly half of the around 7,200 visitors obtained information at both fairs. On the occasion of the past Metpack, Messe Essen registered the record number of over 300 exhibitors who occupied three halls for the first time.
At Metpack 2017, 93 per cent of the exhibitors established new business contacts and practically all of them established foreign contacts, too. They were very satisfied with the quality of the visitors. 86 per cent of the visitors were decision makers with purchasing and procurement powers. The range on offer at the fair was particularly characterised by efficiency and digitisation. The manufacturers presented not only packaging but also, amongst other items, machines and equipment for the manufacturing of cans and can ends as well as equipment for filling and closing. The conspicuous features included the falling material consumption and the increase in digital interfaces between the machines.

Next Metpack on 5-9 May, 2020
In 2020, Metpack - the world's leading fair for metal packaging, will open at Messe Essen from May 5 to 9. On three out of five days, Metpack will once again take place parallel to the interpack packaging fair in Düsseldorf which is scheduled for May 7 to 13, 2020.
