The next international trade fairs for foundry technology, metallurgy, thermo process equipment and castings will take place from 26 to 30 June 2018 in Düsseldorf. In taking this decision, Messe Düsseldorf is responding to the changes in the innovation cycles within the industry.
There has been a substantial change in the entire process chain in the steel metallurgy industry in recent years,” Peter Dahlmann, member of the Executive Board of the steel institute VDE, explains. “Many industrial customers, such as the automotive industry, are very innovative – like the steel industry – and need appropriately innovative technologies and products to manufacture their new products.”
In 2015, the four trade fairs were attended by 78,000 visitors from more than 120 diff erent countries, 2,214 exhibitors showed their latest innovations.
Switching to a three-year cycle
The next “Bright World of Metals” trade fairs will take place in 2018. The four trade fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST are switching from a four-year cycle to a three-year cycle.
