One of the most important guests is Prof. Dr. Michael ten Hompel who is the dean of Material Handling and Warehousing Department at University of Dortmund and currently serves as Managing Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML). Michael ten Hompel is the "godfather of Internet of Things" who first proposed the first step of Industry 4.0 that is familiar to us right now. The expert is in a position of authority in the field of Industry 4.0 and Cloud Computing with a popularity in and out of Germany. He will bring his debut lecture in China in the main forum of LogiMAT China 2016 in Nanjing.
The expected exhibition area will reach 10,000 square meters, and the number of domestic and foreign exhibitors including international pavilions is expected to reach more than 160 enterprises. LogiMAT China 2016 will cover the industrial parks surrounding Jiangsu Province, such as those in Anhui, Zhejiang, and Shandong Provinces. By then many handling equipment related enterprises will show up in the exhibition, with material handling and storage technology, storage equipment and operating equipment, packaging weighing measuring sorting systems and system integration technology as well as related software, IT services, etc. as their core exhibits.
From Europe to Nanjing, LogiMAT China upholds the exhibition concept of LogiMAT Stuttgart, Germany. LogiMAT China aims to build a preferred platform of global logistics’ latest technology and applications for Jiangsu and neighboring markets to optimize the supply chain management, improve logistics efficiency, save logistics costs and provide efficient solutions, rather than a brand exhibition. In 2014, LogiMAT China for the first time was held in Nanjing, China and in 2015 LogiMAT China expanded the exhibition area to 8,000 square meters and attracted a total of 78 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions including Belgium, China, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United States.
