The light is green for the trade fair in a dual sense: with veganfach, Koelnmesse is for the first time initiating a public event at which only vegan products are presented. It addresses all those who attach importance to a sustainable lifestyle free of animal products or who want to inform themselves about vegan alternatives to everyday products. In the process, the focus is not only on nutrition: vegan products from all areas of daily life will be presented at veganfach in Cologne: these include food and beverages, cosmetics, fashion and accessories, food service, the hotel trade and tourism, as well as kitchen appliances, household goods, home textiles and furniture. A total of 10,000 visitors are expected. Thanks to the direct sale of products, veganfach is also a vegan shopping experience for visitors.
Around six weeks prior to the start it is becoming clear that interest in the new event on the part of exhibitors is great: even now, veganfach, with more than 100 exhibitors, 23 percent of them from abroad, is developing from the start into the central vegan end consumer and trade fair in Europe. Exhibitors from Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Russia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are already signed up for the premiere. Young companies will also present innovative products in three start-up areas. For trade visitors, veganfach starts with an exclusive "pro forum Vegan" on Friday, 4 November 2016 as of 11:00 a.m. As of Friday afternoon, veganfach will then also be open for end consumers.
