AstanaBuild 2016, the 18th Kazakhstan International Building & Interiors Exhibition, will be held on May 18–20 in the Korme International Exhibition Centre, Astana (Kazakhstan).

AstanaBuild is a business platform for construction industry professionals and is actively supported by the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan, Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Construction of Kazakhstan, Akimat (Administration) of Astana, the Union of Builders of Kazakhstan, Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan.
Over 200 companies and 3,500 vistors in 2015
In 2015, the exhibition hosted over 200 companies from 24 countries such as Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Hungary, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Iran, Canada, China, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the UAE, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland, Czech Republic, and South Korea. 53 percent of participants are direct manufacturers of products/goods/services. AstanaBuild 2015 was visited by about 3,500 people, more than 40% of them being executives, 17% – sales managers, and 29% – engineers, designers, and architects. In 2015, AstanaBuild underwent an exhibition audit and once again confirmed the international level of organization by receiving a UFI International Certificate.
Solutions for road construction
In 2015, the Road Construction section was active at the exhibition. It presented asphalt concrete plants, concrete block plants, concrete structure moulds, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, innovative heating solutions for the concrete industry, and cement.
Infrastructural investments
The capital of Kazakhstan – Astana – became the first city in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to have won the right to hold the International Exhibition EXPO. EXPO is a leading investment platform that will facilitate further investments in various sectors, IT, architecture and construction as well as improve the quality of service and increase tourist flows.
In addition to the construction of the EXPO campus, several facilities important for the city are to be constructed near the exhibition site. A botanical garden with a park area will become one of the most significant tourist attractions of the city of Astana, and a large Zhibek Zholy (Silk Way) Mall is to be built within EXPO.
A number of large logistics projects, such as expansion of the international airport terminal, the construction of a railway station and a light rail line are currently under way.
By 2017, several other unique buildings and facilities will be built. The list of significant objects includes Abu Dhabi Plaza Administrative and Residential Complex consisting of 75 floors, a new railway station, a linear park with a botanical garden, a rowing channel, the Space Research Centre, the Green Quarter, the Triumphal Arch with Central Square, etc.
