Expo Manufactura will open its doors from February 6 – 8, 2019 at Cintermex, Monterrey, N.L., Mexico. For 23 years the trade show is the most important manufacturing event in Mexico. Visitors can can learn about the latest trends and solutions in Mexico’s industry.

At Expo Manufactura 2019 the Automation and Robotics Pavilion concentrates on the growing demand for automation, which in today’s world has involved the adoption of robotic technology, especially in the automotive industry.
According to the Mexican Association for Advanced Automation Mexico holds 4th place in the ranking of the largest importers of robots and during 2015, sales of robots in Mexico reached 6.320 units, translating to $437 million USD. And in 2016, the country imported industrial 3,474 robots, translating to $158 million USD.
Expo Manufactura 2019 also presents the specialized area of “Additive Manufacturing”, considered a technique with an increasingly wide spectrum of applications for the productive sector, offering a number of industrial advantages.
In Mexico, additive manufacturing is focused on the remanufacturing of centrifugal compressors and blowers, gas turbines, turbochargers, molds and dies, the manufacture of special components such asturbines, fuel tanks, cellular structures, medical implants and jewelry, the manufacture and repair of tools and equipment, as well as the manufacture of prototypes or the redesign of components forcompanies and governmental entities.
In addition, EXPO MANUFACTURA 2019 continues to promote the specialized area of 3M Medical Manufacturing in Mexico, considering that Mexico is one of the leaders in the manufacture and assembly of medical devices worldwide. The manufacturing of medical devices industry is growing at a phenomenal pace, turning Mexico into a critical player in the design and production of such devices. Investment in innovative designs that solve scientific and technological challenges for the benefit of patients, physicians and also the health system is a must.
According to the Ministry of Economy, Mexico is the leading exporter in Latin America of medical devices and the 8th largest exporter of medical devices in the international market.
