In recent years, a new round of industrial revolution has been targeted by various countries around the world in strategic layout, and developed countries and regions have all made intelligent manufacturing and digital factory development as a national strategy in order to take leads of technology and market. As a result, Germany promulgated “Industrie 4.0”, the U.S. formulated “reindustrialization”, “manufacturing rebirth” and “advanced manufacturing partner program”, Japan began to implement “Revitalization Strategy”, Korea implemented “Increased Power Strategy” and France also put forward the “New Industrial France” proposal, all of these are relying on intelligent manufacturing to realize the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry. At present, China is vigorously implementing the “Made in China 2025 and Intelligent Manufacturing” plan to transform China from a manufacturing giant into a world manufacturing power. By 2010, China’s manufacturing scale had overtaken the U.S. to become the world’s No. 1.
Guangdong: Leading role in robot manufacturing
During the past 30 plus years, Guangdong, the province in south China, has become a major province of manufacturing in China and an important manufacturing base in the global. It will build an intelligent equipment industrial base, in which, Shenzhen will develop a domestic leading and international famous robot, wearable devices and intelligent equipment manufacturing industry base. Shenzhen, one of the most important cities in Guangdong, leads manufacture level in China, and one third of the country’s service robot manufacturers are located here. Intelligent manufacturing industry plays a leading role on many other industries. It is able to optimize the industrial structure and support the transformation from “Made in China” to “Created in China”.
