The event, the first fair in Spain to commemorate 100 years, will take place in the emblematic Montjuic grounds and will occupy almost all of the pavilions, taking over three halls (2, Z6 and 7) and expanding the exterior area.
Thus, the event will again be a great international showcase for the major car manufacturers. The president of Automobile Barcelona, Enrique Lacalle, has claimed that "the Centenary edition is going to be historic, with 46 per cent more brands than two years ago, again making Barcelona the capital of the motoring world for the duration of the fair."
"The Centenary will include great new developments: 44 brands, national, European and worldwide presentations; an exhibition of 25 vehicles that marked an era and that will offer visitors a walk through history; and also a look to the future with the latest technological developments that will change mobility in the coming years, such as driverless autonomous vehicles which can be tested during the event. In this edition you will even get to see a flying car," Enrique Lacalle added.
To celebrate a century of existence, Automobile Barcelona has prepared a program of activities including a new audiovisual show that will take visitors on an interactive and immersive journey through 100 years of the history of automobiles, Barcelona and its transformation and the future of mobility. It is a unique experience with 3-D and holographic projections, and music with surround sound in an installation of more than 1,500 m2 in Hall 2. Finally, in Connected Street, visitors can experience the most disruptive technologies in the automotive field.

Automobile Barcelona grows for its centenary edition
Automobile Barcelona, the International Motor Show organised by Fira de Barcelona, celebrates its centenary edition from 11 to 19 May 2019. A total of 44 marques will present their latest cars to the public, a growth of 46 per cent compared to its previous edition.
