The new managing director Arne Petersen began his career over twenty years ago at Hamburg Messe. Other stations on his journey include Gruner + Jahr, Reed Exhibitions and Deutsche Messe. For the last four years Petersen was head of expo management at Koelnmesse, where he was responsible for furniture trade fairs and globally leading fairs such as IMM Cologne / LivingKitchen, Interzum, Orgatec and FSB/Aquanale.
After seven years, Becker can look back on a successful time in Husum: besides the introduction of new formats, Becker was also able to establish HUSUM Wind as the leading trade fair for the German-speaking wind energy market. Alongside his exhibition team, during this year's HUSUM Wind Becker displayed strong nerves as Cyclone Sebastian forced the temporary evacuation of Halls 1 to 4, before continuing to make the exhibition as success.
New in the exhibition team is also Andrea Werner (52). She succeeds Thomas Seifried who project managed HUSUM Wind up to now, before moving on to other things. Andrea Werner worked in Dubai for the last ten years, most recently as regional sales manager for an international chain of hotels and for the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK), U.A.E. Before that she was project manager for Messe Frankfurt in Dubai, and brings twenty years trade fair experience with her. Andrea Werner is also project managing New Energy Husum, which is being organised by Messe Husum & Congress for the 15th time from 15 to 18 March 2018.
