Intec 2019

•••2••• Messewelten Smart machinery on stage Intec and Z show latest developments for manufacturing A t Intec and Z 2019, some 1,300 exhibitors will present in- novative products, sophisticated technology, and complex services in Leipzig. “In February, the trade fair combination Intec and Z will become the centre of the metal working and subcontracting in- dustries. Innovative and power- ful – this is how the two indus- trial fairs present themselves,” explains Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leip- ziger Messe. At Intec visitors can expect a comprehensive range of produc- tion technology for metalwork- ing, automation technology for upstream and downstream pro- cesses in production, but also technology and equipment for workshops and operations. Tech- nological leaders from the ma- chine tool industry, renowned suppliers of precision tools and specialists for automation solu- tions from Germany and abroad will present their range of servic- es. Small and medium-sized com- panies will also be able to use In- tec as an effective and attractive platform for initiating business. The major German mechanical engineering centres in Baden- Wuerttemberg, Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria will have a strong presence. Most of the international exhibitors come from Italy, the Netherlands, Aus- tria and Switzerland. As the perfect partner for Intec, the subcontracting fair Z will be held at the same time. In par- ticular, it offers suppliers in the middle production stages a tai- lor-made platform for their posi- tioning on the market. Alongside regularly exhibiting companies, new companies from Central Germany and other German in- dustrial regions as well as from abroad were attracted to the Z. The international exhibitors come mainly from western and eastern Europe. With innovative ideas and sophisticated products, the sup- pliers will present an exhibition tailored to the industry’s needs. The machine tool sector will be presenting a series of innovations and optimisations at Intec. For ex- ample, a 4-axis horizontal machin- ing centre can be flexibly config- ured and thus precisely adapted to the customer’s requirements – thanks to its modular design. Production automation and dig- itisation are reflected represent- atively in the Intec exhibitors’ offerings. An exhibitor will be showing Connected Machining, which connects the machines in the workshop with the company network in a digitalised produc- tion process. Furthermore, it fa- cilitates the individual, operation- related use of data – tailored to the customer’s needs. Another in- novation: a smart rolling mill that anticipates and adjusts the pro- cesses to the specific workpiece. Z 2019 will be well attended with exhibitors meeting the demand for parts and components made of metals, plastics and innovative materials. An example is a joint rod configurator. The tool creates individual units online and with- out any loss of time and provides information on functional dimen- sions, prices and delivery times.
