••• 10••• Branchennews Partnership to sup- port women in tech CE Week and Tech Up For Women have announced a partnership to encourage women to network and engage with technology thought leaders and innovators at their events. Dawn Pratt, founder of Tech Up For Women, will participate and the organization is a sponsor of CE Week’s Powerful Women in CT panel on June 12. Executives will examine how the industry can im- prove in the areas of inclusion and equality. Panelists include: Eden Goldberg, VP, marketing and busi- ness development, InMotion En- tertainment; Alexandra Harding, director, vendor management, IngramMicro; Aparna Behari, head of distribution, Google; and Dawn Pratt, founder of Tech Up For Women. An official CES 2020 preview, CES Un- veiled returns to Paris for a seventh year on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Palais Brongniart. Attendees will experience a full day of tech that will feature more than 80 companies of all sizes. Attendees will discover how AI is shaping our world, from changing enterprises to affecting ethics and policy. Industry experts from all over Europe will share insights on AI, en- terprise solutions, mobility, Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure and more. Leading brands at CE China For the rst time Guangzhou will host the global IFA event C E China, a global IFA event, brings the latest technology and first-class industry players to the most vibrant con- sumer market of the world. This year, CE China connects brands from around the world with pan-Asian retailers right after IFA Berlin in one of the most important cities for trade shows in China. For the first time, IFA’s CE China is held from 19 to 21 September 2019 in Guangzhou, the heart of China’s trade and manufacturing busi- ness. “With CE China’s move to the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center Expo and switching the date to September, we are fol- lowing the numerous demands of the industry and trade partners to benefit even more from the eco- nomically important Single’s Day”, said Jens Heithecker, Chairman of CE China, IFA Executive Direc- tor and Executive Vice President Messe Berlin. In Guangzhou, CE China not only pro- vides a unique mix of consumers and domestic trade visitors but offers even more brand exhibitors with their best of innovations to pan-Asian retailers. Among the leading Chinese brands at CE China are: Galanz: One of the lead- ing brands in China’s home appliance industry, Galanz claims to own the world’s leading microwave oven R&D and manufacturing center, as well as the world’s leading professional elec- tric appliance manufacturing bases for air conditioners, refrigerators, wash- ing machines, dishwashers and elec- tric ovens. Haier: At CE China 2019, world market leader for HA appliances Haier will focus on its “5+7+N” full-scenario smart pack- age, bringing the smart life plan for all life scenarios, including smart living room, smart kitchen, smart bathroom, smart bedroom and smart balcony. Midea: In 2016, the Chinese com- pany and international brand for home appliances Midea, acquired the HA section of Toshiba. It pre- sented as an important landmark in the company’s globalization en- deavor, making Toshiba products part of Midea’s presentations. Konka: With China becoming the world‘s largest LCD panel pro- duction base, the Chinese color TV brand Konka is marching into overseas market. At present, Kon- ka is covering the color TV market in Europe, North/South America and the Pan-Asia. In July 2019, Konka set its first step into the African market with its strategic cooperation with Egypt’s largest e-commerce platform Jumia. Skyworth: Skyworth will demonstrate its products in smart home audio and video, including HD smart set-top boxes for large-screen home entertainment system, 4K smart home projection and smart TV audio. 146 companies from twelve countries attended the show in 2018.
