Die Messebesucher erleben dort Logistik 4.0 live vor Ort. Anhand einer geschlossenen Logistikkette will der Verein zur Förderung innovativer Verfahren in der Logistik (VVL) Verständnis dafür zu wecken, „welche (Kombinations-) Möglichkeiten sich in logistischen Anwen- dungen aktuell bieten“, betont Logistik- Experte Dipl.-Ing. Jörg Loges im exklusi- ven Interview mit DIE MESSE . „Werden einzelne technische Anwendungen losge- löst voneinander betrachtet, bleiben die wechselseitigen Abhängigkeiten oft unklar beziehungsweise können nur ‚theoretisch‘ erklärt werden“, gibt er zu bedenken. „Am praktischen Beispiel jedoch, das die Messe- besucher quasi anfassen und erleben kön- nen, werden die Möglichkeiten und auch die Grenzen von technischen Lösungen plastisch erklärbar.“ Die CeMAT-Sonderschau „Logistics 4.0 Hub – Die Supply Chain live in Aktion“ zeigt in Halle 24 beispielhaft den Waren- und Infor- mationsfluss in einer Logistikkette – von der Entladung eines Überseecontainers be- ziehungsweise eines Lkw-Trailers bis hin zur Sicherung und Konturenkontrolle der palet- tierten Ladeeinheiten. But this situation is bound to change, given the rapid tech- nical development in the area of Logistics 4.0 and the advantages of automatic systems in terms of economy, speed and safety – a change which is also urgently needed, as inventory levels are constantly increasing due to the continuous growth of online re- tailing, while demographic change makes it increasingly dif- ficult for companies to find quali- fied personnel. As a result, automated systems and autonomous order pick- ing are gaining an increasing amount of attention. Experts and leading manufacturers will present best-practice examples and give an outlook on how or- der picking will change in the coming years. Organized by Deutsche Messe and a logistics magazine, a forum focussing on robotics and smart picking solu- tions takes place on Wednesday, 25 April 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Logistics Solutions Forum in Hall 21. A helping smart hand Innovative prototype glove “SensHand” for pickers Due to mechanization and auto- mation the amount of physical load work has been progressively reduced. Yet for those working in intralogistics, the manual han- dling of material is still very much part of the job. Partners in the “SensHand” project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), have developed a prototype glove designed to help pickers.
