InnoTrans 2018

Travel Catering and comfort services Whether their journey is for priva- te or business purposes, by rail or bus, travellers like to be cosseted. At InnoTrans 2018 the part of the Interiors segment that is devoted to Travel Catering and Comfort Services illustrates just how im- portant these two aspects are for ensuring customer satisfaction. This year over half of the specialist exhibitors in Hall 1.1 are from a- broad. Five companies are exhibi- ting for the first time. Some of the biggest names in the industry will be using this opportunity to pre- sent their latest products and ser- vices to a professional audience on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Something that is bound to inter- est and attract visitors: following on from the excellent response two years ago, a special circuit has again been planned, taking the exhibitors in the Travel Cate- ring and Comfort Services secti- on. “As we have already begun to do in previous years at the trade fair, we want to use InnoTrans to present a full range of services to the main caterers in the railway sector”, explains Mario Lopez, general manager of an industry leader. This includes an on-board trolley made with some innova- tive materials and with a built-in, easily removable espresso machi- ne powered by a new kind of lithi- um battery. For Lopez, customer satisfaction is paramount. “We aim to contribute to improving on-board services, because pass- engers want to be able to feel at home and enjoy their journey.” For train operators and experts in the provision of passenger comfort one of the highlights of the event will be the new On- board Hospitality Forum at the CityCube Berlin on 19 Septem- ber. Attendance at this forum is the ideal way to find out more about relevant market data, new possibilities in on-board catering, some exciting new ideas in this field, and there will be opportu- nities for discussions too.
