Das breit gefächerte Angebot umfasst 72 Modelle und reicht von Hybrid- und Plug-in-Hybrid-Modellen, Elektrofahrzeugen und neuesten Brennstoffzellenautos bis hin zu Modellen mit hocheffizienten Die- sel-, Benzin- und Erdgas-Antrie- ben. Dabei zählen zum Fuhrpark neben geräumigen Familienautos und Stadtflitzern auch Kombis und geräumige SUVs – unter an- derem der Marken Beijing Hori- zon, BMW (i3) Dacia (Duster), Ford (Mondeo Hybrid und Explorer), Honda (CR-V Hybrid, Civic Type R und Civic Limousine), Hyundai (i30, Kona HEV, Kona EV, Nexo, Io- niq PHEV und Ioniq EV, Santa Fe, Tuscon), Jaguar (I-Pace) sowie KIA (ProCeed, Sportage, Stinger und XCeed), Renault (Zoe), Tesla und Volkswagen (e-Golf). Die Anmel- dung erfolgt direkt auf der Freiflä- che 10 in den Containern der An- bieter. Autobahn und exklusive Teststrecken in der Frankfurter Innenstadt liegen direkt vor den Toren der IAA und ermöglichen ein intensives Testen in allen Fahr- situationen. Ihre Fahrerlebnisse werden mit On-Board-Cams auf einer großen Leinwand übertra- gen. Autonomes Fahren live auf IAA erleben Sie erobern europäische Städte: Klei- ne Busse, meist elektrisch betrie- ben, die eine Gruppe von Menschen transportieren und eines nicht haben – einen Fahrer. Was auf anderen Mo- bilitätsmessen bislang nur als Kon- zeptstudie zu sehen war oder noch nicht in Ihrer Nähe den Fahrbetrieb aufgenommen hat, wird auf der IAA erlebbar. Auf einer Strecke von 400 Metern pendelt der autonom fahren- de „CUbE“ von Continental, der Platz für bis zu sechs Personen bietet und maximal 20 Stundenkilometer schnell fährt. CUbE steht für „Continental urban mobility experience“. Unter- schiedliche Sensoren wie Kameras, Radar und Laser erkennen Hindernis- se und lassen den elektrisch angetrie- benen Kleinbus bei Bedarf bremsen. Mittels Außendisplay kommuniziert das Fahrzeug mit Fußgängern und ge- währt ihnen Vorrang. Open-air circuit for e-bikes Try latest e-Bike and e-Scooter models at IAA E-Move Track O n the new, big IAA E-Move Track the visitor can experience how e-bikes and e-scooters are becoming the per- fect assistants in our everyday lives and keeping people on the move. Europeans love their cars – as is repeatedly shown by the statis- tics. But bicycles are also hugely popular. Just Germany has about 100,000 kilometres of cycle paths. The only question is which bike to use. The choice is huge. And right now the trend is e-bikes. There are models for sports enthusiasts, commuters, weekend trippers, fair-weather cyclists and for child- ren – there is something for every- one who enjoys cycling. At the IAA 2019 for the first time the “Agora” will have an open-air circuit for e-bikes on an area of 1,500 square metres. Visitors can get “on their bikes” and put the latest models from well-known brands through their paces. BMW, Bosch, Brose and Skoda, among others, will present their latest developments. On a track length of 125 metres, the dri- vers have to master steep bends, a rum- ble strip and terrain boxes. There is also a selection of e-scooters from Bird and Circ. E-bikes have become a common sight on today’s roads – whether you’re in San Francisco, Beijing or Tel Aviv. Elec- tric bicycles glide along generating little noise and zero emissions. Furthermo- re, the technology used in bikes is be- coming more and more advanced and includes voice control, GPS display, etc. Modern lithium rechargeable batteries enable ranges of up to 100 kilometres. In Germany the number of e-bikes has been rising steadily, and in 2019 it broke through the 4.5 million mark for the first time. In major cities you can even rent an electric bike using an app. Let’s face it, nobody really enjoys the walk home from the bus-stop. Or from the subway station to the office. This is where the agile elec- tric scooter comes into its own as an alternative to a bicycle or e-bike. It is the perfect means of urban transport. Scooters fitted with electric motors are already common in many European towns and cities. E-scooters can simply be folded up if they need to be stowed in a car or taken on a train. This makes e-scooters perfect for urban mobility – especially in chro- nically congested cities. E-scooters will be allowed on public roads in Germany starting in mid-July 2019. This will be the poe perfect opor- tunity to try the transportation re- volution on by own. Electric scoo- ters win over new riders with their speed and ease very fast and are a very easy way to get around with zero emis- sions. The slogan of the IAA 2019 is “Driving Tomorrow”.
