••• 10••• Messewelten AIMExpo with new Dealer Summit The American International Mo- torcycle Expo (AIMExpo) has in- troduced Dealer Summit 2018, a new initiative focused on suppor- ting the powersports retailer on 11 and 12 October 2018. AIMExpo (11 to 14 October 2018) will be hosted at Las Vegas’ Man- dalay Bay Convention Center. With its move to Las Vegas’ Man- dalay Bay Convention Center, this year’s event provides an ideal opportunity for dealers to unite with their industry peers at a cru- cial time in the marketplace. Dealer Summit 2018 will take pla- ce during AIMExpo presented by Nationwide’s trade-only days on 11 and 12 October, and will put an emphasis on the vital role retai- lers play in the long-term growth of the industry, where they ser- ve as the face of powersports to the general consumer. Highlights of Dealer Summit include an up- date by the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) about industry-wi- de efforts being made to help re- tailers and the industry by increa- sing ridership. United States Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke has been invi- ted to offer the opening keynote where he will address the cur- rent administration’s agenda of increasing Outdoor Recreation – including motorized recreation – critical for the long-term growth of powersports as an outdoor activity. Hamburg Motor Classics macht sich startklar Um Oldtimer und Youngtimer so- wie Zubehör und Ersatzteile dreht sich vom 19. bis 21. Oktober 2018 alles während der Hamburg Mo- tor Classics. Auf der Messe sind Old- und Youngtimer aus nahezu allen Kapiteln der Geschichte des Automobils zu finden: Vom hoch- herrschaftlichen Cabriolet aus den Dreißigerjahren bis hin zum Supersportwagen der Achtziger reicht das Spektrum. Ein „ab- wechslungsreiches Programm“ mit Sonderschauen und Informa- tionsforen ergänzt Hamburgs Old- timermesse. Premiere feiert die Sonderschau „Historischer Motor- sport“ mit „einzigartigen Expona- ten zum Staunen und Träumen“, teilt der Veranstalter mit. Themen wie Bewertung, Kauf, Versiche- rung und Pflege werden in Fach- vorträgen aufgegriffen und lie- fern Einsteigern wie Profis gleichermaßen Einblick in die Sze- ne. Highlight ist die Oldtimer-Ral- lye um den „Träume Wagen Cup“, die zum zweiten Mal stattfindet. Bis zu 60 „Oldies“ fahren dabei am 20. Oktober durch die Hanse- stadt. Je nach Alter des Autos in sechs Klassen eingeteilt, starten die Teilnehmer morgens ab 9 Uhr im Minutentakt direkt vor dem Messeeingang. On the way to AIMExpo in Las Ve- gas?
