••• 10••• Messewelten Industrial Energy Efficiency Award Mit dem neuen Industrial Energy Efficiency Award findet auf der Hannover Messe erstmals eine Prämierung herausragender Ener- gieeffizienzlösungen statt. In die- sem Jahr werden jeweils zwei Preise in den Bereichen Industrie und Energiewirtschaft vergeben, dabei werden jeweils ein KMU und ein Großunternehmen prä- miert, teilt der Hannoveraner Messeveranstalter mit. Die feierli- che Preisübergabe erfolgt am 2. April 2019 auf der Hannover Mes- se. Unternehmen aus Industrie und Energiewirtschaft waren auf- gerufen, sich mit Einreichungen für den Award zu bewerben. Arno Reich neuer Bereichsleiter Arno Reich (47) verantwortet bei der Deutschen Messe AG seit Jah- resbeginn die Industrie-, Energie- sowie Logistikmessen – allen vor- an die Hannover Messe. Als Bereichsleiter gehöre die strategi- sche Weiterentwicklung des Mes- seportfolios im In- und Ausland zu seinen Kernaufgaben, teilt die Deutsche Messe mit. Der Diplom- Kaufmann Reich startete seine berufliche Laufbahn im Jahr 1999 als Projektreferent der EXPO 2000 in Hannover. Ende 2000 wechselte er zur Deutschen Messe AG. Seit- dem ist er dort in verschiedenen Funktionen erfolgreich tätig ge- wesen, zuletzt als Leiter der Ab- teilung Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives sowie Digital Fac- tory und Worldwide Events. Photo: Deutsche Messe AG / Rainer Jensen H annover Messe 2019 will be taking a very close and comprehensive look at what lightweight has to offer indus- trial manufacturing and other disciplines and why it is such a key technolo- gy for the future. These days, pretty much every- one knows that lightweight con- struction reduces product weight, saves on materials and reduces production costs. But what most people don’t know is that that’s just the beginning – and therein lies the challenge. Because the real point of lightweight is that it makes products and components better by enhancing durability, improving efficiency and paving the way to better design. What’s more, it makes for more efficient use of resources and materials and reduces energy consumption and hence emissions. All of which increases competitiveness while help- ing to combat climate change. “Light- weight construction will be a very im- portant topic at Hannover Messe 2019,” commented Olaf Daebler, Deutsche Messe’s Global Director Industrial Sup- ply for Hannover Messe. “Users from all industries will find experts who will show them how they can use lightweight construction to en- hance their products.” With numerous companies and industry associations showcasing intelligent lightweight solutions at all sections of Hannover Messe, there will certainly be no short- age of quality information on of- fer. And the central headquarters of it all will be Hall 5 at the Indus- trial Supply show. The organisers of Hannover Messe will again also be putting out a Lightweight Con- struction Guide – a publication that helps visitors find each of many or- ganisations dotted throughout the venue that offer solutions for to lightweight construction.
