Welche Vorteile kann SAM Maschinenbedie- nern in der Verpackungs- industrie bringen? Mit SAM wird Er fah- rungswissen von Mit- arbeitern im Unterneh- men gespeichert und geht auch bei deren Aus- scheiden nicht mehr verloren. Die Bediener sind mit SAM in der Lage, die Prozesse deutlich effizienter und stabiler zu fahren. Dies sorgt bei den Bedienern für mehr Sicherheit. Gleichzeitig bietet SAM die Möglichkeit, deren Wissen zu teilen und entspre- chende Anerkennung zu erhalten. Die höhere Wert- schätzung der Leistung und des Erfahrungsschatzes der Bediener führt zu mehr Motivation und Enga- gement. Durch die Unterstützung nach dem Training-on-the- Job-Prinzip erhalten die Bediener Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe und können voneinander lernen. Der Vorteil für das Unternehmen: Es entsteht weniger Verlustzeit und Ausschuss. Ein Ausblick: Für welche weiteren Aufgaben könnte SAM künftig eingesetzt werden? Aktuell wird SAM hauptsächlich für Verpackungsma- schinen entwickelt. Eine Übertragung des Systems ist jedoch auf jede durch Menschen gesteuerte Ma- schine denkbar. Je mehr Erfahrungswissen zur Steu- erung notwendig ist, desto wertvoller ist SAM. Per- spektivisch wird SAM durch weitere Entwicklungen in seinem Funktionsumfang deutlich erweitert. Dazu kooperieren wir beispielsweise mit Psychologen. Es entstehen beispielsweise Module für intelligente Dia- logsysteme, Einbindung innovativer Sensoren oder Wartungsunterstützung. Foto: Fraunhofer IVV FachPack bigger than ever Nuremberg’s packaging trade fair occupies twelve halls F or the first time, FachPack – the European trade fair for packaging, processing and tech- nology, will occupy twelve halls at the exhibition venue in Nurem- berg. Some 1,500 exhibitors and more than 40,000 trade visitors are expected in Nuremberg on 25- 27 September. In order to main- tain an overview with so many ex- hibitors, the floor plan has been completely revised and organised by themes. “We would like to make it as easy as possible for visitors to Fach- Pack to find their way around the trade fair. They should be able to quickly find the exhibitors who have the answers to their ques- tions and who offer the corre- sponding solutions,” explains Cor- nelia Fehlner, Exhibition Director at NürnbergMesse. “In the past, focus areas have emerged organi- cally in certain halls. We picked up on this idea and refined it in planning the layout of the halls.” FachPack illustrates the complete packaging value-added chain in all twelve exhibition halls: packaging machines, labelling and marking technology, as well as intra-logis- tics and packaging logistics are located in the southern exhibition halls (halls 1, 2, 3, 3A, 4, 4A). The northern exhibition halls (halls 4, 5, 6, 7, 7A, 8, 9) house packaging materials, packaging aids, as well as packaging printing and processing. Each hall has the following focus areas: Hall 1: La- belling and marking equipment; Hall 2: Adhesive technology; Hall 3: Automation, robotics, palletiz- ing systems, components; Hall 3A: Pharmaceuticals and medi- cal technology, cosmetics; Hall 4: Intra- and packaging logistics, la- belling and marking equipment, environmental engineering. Hall 4A will be dedicated to Intra- and packaging logistics; Hall 5: Paper, carton, cardboard, metal; Hall 6: Flexible and moulded plastic, wood; Hall 7: Flexible and mould- ed plastic; Hall 7A: Paper, car- ton, cardboard; Hall 8: Packaging printing, processing, premium packaging; Hall 9: Flexible and moulded plastic, paper, carton, cardboard. Background In 2016, a total of some 41,000 trade visitors seized the opportu- nity to inform themselves about the latest products and innova- tions from the packaging, tech- nology, processing and logistics sectors.
