•••4••• Messewelten Interview Prize for award winner electronica’s start-up platform e-ffwd enters round two T he number of innovations from new players in the elec- tronics industry grows from year to year. So that start-ups can im- prove their chances of entering the market, from 13 to 16 Novem- ber 2018, “electronica fast for- ward” (e-ffwd) will introduce in- novative ideas, prototypes, and products from young companies to international representatives from a wide range of industries. After the successful premiere of “electronica fast forward” in 2016, the platform for electronics start-ups will be held for the sec- ond time during this year’s elec- tronica. Young companies can demonstrate their innovations and services in one of eight cate- gories. These include automotive and embedded as well as medical electronics and cyber security. Start-up area in Hall C5 More than 30 start-ups from ten countries have submitted their applications for this year’s “elec- tronica fast forward” award. Inte- grated within the semiconductor exhibition area, the start-ups will show their products at the e-ffwd booth in Hall C5. Each day will also feature pitches, presentations, and workshops from the start-up scene at the e-ffwd forum. An in- dependent jury will assess the in- dividual companies on the basis of the presentations at the booth and at the forum whose programme includes the following main topics: Discover new business ideas; Ad- vice for new entrepreneurs; Trends and interesting facts. Start package for awardwinners The decision as to which start-up will receive the “electronica fast forward” award 2018 will be made on the final day of the fair (Friday, 16 November 2018) between 11 am and noon at the e-ffwd forum in Hall C5. Was ver- spricht an Ihrem Stand besondere Erlebnisse? Am Gemeinschaftsstand wird die MID-Technologie auf sechs großen Monitoren Schritt für Schritt dar- gestellt und erläutert. Zudem werden jede Menge Fachleute dieses Bereichs anwesend sein, welche gerne jederzeit für ein Fachgespräch zur Verfü- gung stehen. An diver- sen Demonstratoren, unter anderem auch ein MID-Copter, werden die überragenden Möglich- keiten der MID-Techno- logie begreifbar. Dieses Fluggerät besteht aus einem dreidimensiona- len, spritzgegossenen Grundkörper, welcher durch das LDS-Verfah- ren, also per Laser und chemischer Metallisierung funktionalisiert und an- schließend bestückt ist. Der Lehrstuhl FAPS selbst wird zu den beiden genannten Projekten FeVediS und Optaver Demonstratoren ausstellen. Die electronica gilt als Leistungsschau der Branche. Auf welche Innovationen sind Sie besonders gespannt? Ich bin sehr interessiert, wie weit die vielverspre- chenden Technologien zum Drucken elektronischer Funktionen bereits im Markt umgesetzt werden und welche Produkte damit bereits Funktionen wie Sensoren, Antennen, Beleuchtung oder integrier- te Schaltkreise integriert haben werden. Weiter- hin bin ich sicher, dass wir verstärkt auch leistungs- elektronische Baugruppen sehen werden, die neue Aufbau- und Verbindungstechnologien, wie das Dif- fusionslöten oder das Silbersintern und neue Subs- trattechnologien, nutzen werden. Und besonders gespannt bin ich natürlich, wie viele neue Kompo- nenten vorgestellt werden, die eine der vielfältigen MID-Technologien zur Integration mechatronischer Funktionen einsetzen.
