Chillventa 2018

•••6••• Messewelten Overcoming the challenge Practical guidance on cleaning and inspection work C hillventa 2018 will feature a number of special presenta- tions that are essential for trade visitors. On all three days, speak- ers from the Bundesfachschule Kälte-Klima-Technik (Federal Tech- nical College for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology) will present valuable information on all aspects of hygiene in air-cooled heat exchangers, and will of- fer practical guidance on how to perform cleaning and inspection work in accordance with VDI 6022. VDI 6022 is a guideline issued by the Technische Gebäudeausrüs- tung (Technical Building Services) Division of the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (Association of Ger- man Engineers, VDI). It describes the state of the art for hygiene requirements for ventilation sys- tems and devices, and for deter- mining ambient air quality. Not all operators and specialised companies are as familiar as they should be with the maintenance and inspection activities needed to ensure hygiene in air-condi- tioning and ventilation systems. In the future, however, operators of ventilation systems will need to deal much more with this subject. The revised version of Hygiene Guideline VDI 6022 Sheet 1 defines new or expanded tasks for the op- eration and maintenance of venti- lation systems and devices; these relate principally to the protection of human health. The Guideline thus states that thorough clean- ing of components is preferable to disinfection. Targeted disinfec- tion may be performed only when there is a demonstrated need. At the special display area in Hall 4, stand 4-503, speakers from the Federal Technical College for Re- frigeration and Air Conditioning Technology will begin by present- ing basic background information about the changes and additions contained in the new VDI 6022 compared to the previous version. Together with manufacturers of ventilation components, they will then show how the neces- sary cleaning and inspection work should be performed. Presentations aimed at professionals The necessary tasks will be il- lustrated using plant units made available as examples. These tasks include cleaning and inspection work on dehumidifier-coolers (for commercial refrigerator rooms and ventilator systems), adiabatic spray humidifiers and hot-steam humidifiers, and water treatment systems. The presenters will then deal with the required documen- tation and paper trail for cleaning and inspection activities. These presentations are aimed espe- cially at foremen, engineers, re- frigeration plant manufacturers, operators, and employees in the service field. Chillventa features special presentations for expert staff. Photo: NuernbergMesse / Thomas Geiger Anzeige Rivacold: the Green Evolution Rivacold is synonymous with Natural Refrigerant. Today, the company is proud to propose a revolutionary range of environmen- tally friendly, natural gas solutions, striving to set a benchmark for all users of these types of applications. From CO 2 transcritical condensing units to integrated systems, as well as evaporators and gas coolers: a complete range for R744 and R290 systems, where technological inno- vation, energy efficiency and envi- ronmental sustainability are com- bined with high quality, reliability and flexibility, to propose a range of products customised to suit cli- ent needs. For all convenience stores looking to start or continue a conversion to- ward CO 2 , Rivacold has developed CO 2 NNEXT: a range of transcriti- cal R744 condensing units and split systems, which use a BLDC com- pressor with variable speed for medium and low temperature ap- plications (cold rooms, refrigerated counters and wall display cases) in small-sized supermarkets. Thanks to a new generation of electronics for CO 2 , this easy-to-install system is designed to connect up to 5 utili- ties. In the split version, the product leaves our factory already equipped with a combined evaporator, elec- tronic thermostatic valve and a self- configuring control system, mak- ing installation even easier. Energy efficiency, environmental sustain- ability and perfect food preserva- tion are guaranteed by Rivacold. CO 2 NNEXT overs refrigeration outputs under 10 kW. For higher capacity solutions, Rivacold pro- poses the same product concept, but using up to 5 compressors. In- troducing Multi-CO 2 NNEXT, a se- ries of mini-packs that reach up to 40 kW, perfect to meet the cooling needs of refrigerated wall-display cases, counters and cold rooms in medium-sized supermarkets. The variable speed compressors al- low a total capacity control range between 5 % and 100 %. What’s more, Multi-CO 2 NNEXT uses a patent-pending compressor oil management and monitoring sys- tem with integrated diagnostics: a guarantee of the perfect operation of this eco-friendly, high-perform- ing and competitive solution. Rising up the capacities we en- ter the world of multi-compressor packs with semi-hermetic compres- sors reaching over 130 Kw of ca- pacity for big supermarkets sizes. Thanks to the integrations within their circuit of technical features such as parallel compression and ejectors, they can be installed al- so in warm climates without los- ing their efficiency. Moreover, in order to guarantee installation of packs in small space a new range of transcritical Compact Packs has been developped: the maximum efficiency and eco-sustainability within the minor possible encum- brance. Besides the refrigerating systems Rivacold is one of the few Euro- pean companies that manufactures also gas coolers, unit coolers and static evaporators designed for transcritical CO 2 . Rivacold gas coolers are designed for a maxi- mum working pressure of 130 bar and for this purpose they are fea- tured with components and materi- als that grant a high quality, relia- ble and high efficient products. The entire range is fitted with EC fan- motors of 500, 630, 800 e 1000mm diameters with capacities from 22 to 700 Kw. The CO 2 unit coolers range for cold rooms has different versions according to their frames and mounting modes: slim, cubic or dual-flow models. They are de- signed for a running pressure of 75 bar, electronic fan-motors and reduced dimensions with refrigerat- ing capacities from 2 to 61 Kw for high, medium and low temperature applications. Rivacold CO 2 ranges will include the option for connection to the IoT platform. Products can be viewed on a map, displayed on a user- friendly dashboard or refrigeration circuit, and alarms are displayed in real time for improved reaction times. The strong point of the Ri- vacold IoT solution therefore lies on its simple and intuitive nature, making it easy to use for service technicians, but also useful and easy to understand for end users. All these products will be displayed at Chillventa: from CO 2 (R744) transcritical condensing units and split systems with a special atten- tion to an easy installation, as well as evaporators and gas coolers and multicompressor packs. Thanks to more than 10 years of experi- ence in designing propane (R290) systems, Rivacold will dedicate a wide area to this natural refriger- ant presenting innovations on prod- ucts such as ceiling and wall mount packaged systems for cold rooms, condensing units for wall-display cases and counters, packaged sys- tems for cabinets and counters. The new solutions enable to exploit the maximum allowed gas charge by getting the best efficiency with the Rivacold’s Lab certification. The high quality of the materials used, the production and lab tests and integrated technology make Rivacold products the ideal solu- tion for long-term, eco-sustainable commercial refrigeration systems, in compliance with the encreas- ingly stringent European directives.
