As the organiser of the A+A Congress, Basi works closely with Messe Düs- seldorf. Congress tickets are avail- able for 99 euros in the A+A ticket shop (aplusa.de ), the world’s lead- ing international trade fair for safe- ty and health at work. In addition, all interested parties can participate in a selection of congress events online. As an additional bonus in 2022, Basi, together with the Trade Fair, will offer in-depth, future-ori- ented online sessions on important A+A topics in 2022/2023. Dates and content will be announced well in advance. “After the opening session” the congress kicks off with a high-pro- file, live-streamed panel discussion on the “new normal” in safety and health at work’, said Basi Manag- ing Director Dr Christian Felten when outlining the start of the A+A Congress and the world’s leading OSH trade fair. The Congress will start with an introduction by Basi Chair Sonja König at 10.15 a.m. on 26 October 2021. At 11.30 a.m., the German Occupational Safety and Health Award will be presented to companies and individuals who have displayed outstanding, crea- tive ideas in the field of OSH. Guests will include high-ranking represent- atives from the social partners, academia, the Federal Ministry of Labour, the federal states and the Director General of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV), Dr Stefan Hussy. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to exchange views with researchers, practition- ers, policymakers and administra- tors, both on site and in part online. During the congress, several se- ries of events from the 37th A+A Congress 2021 will be streamed live every day via the website aplusa. de – there will also be simultane- ous English translation. Some of the speakers will be on site, others will take part virtually. At the same time, Basi members will be present at the Meeting Point Safety and Health (TPSG) in Hall 10 of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre until 29 October and are looking forward to greeting and talkingwith their guests. The focus of the 37th A+A Congress is on sustainable occupational safe- ty and health of the future. The top- ics follow the prevention culture of Vision Zero which states if preven- tivemeasures are coordinatedwell, then serious workplace accidents and occupational diseases can be avoided or their consequences sig- nificantly reduced. OSH experts will be on hand to provide answers to key questions: What have we learned from the pandemic and what can we do with these learn- ings in the future? How does the digitalisation of work affect safety and health? Experts will address issues such as the confusion sur- rounding masks, collaborative ro- botics and assistance systems, and concepts for enforcing OSH within global supply chains. In addition, the goals of the Joint GermanOccu- pational Safety and Health Strategy (GDA) with their current focus on good work design for musculoskel- etal loads and the safe handling of carcinogenic hazardous substances remain a core component. Attendance at the event can be rec- ognised as further training for occu- pational safety specialists and other professionals thanks to the variety of topics and the in-depth nature of the presentations. Oktober bei herrlichem Herbstwetter zur Mes- se FLORIAN 2021 in Dresden. Das ist ein Besucherplus von 30% zum Vorjahr, als die FLORIAN europa- weit als einzige Branchenmesse durchgeführt werden konnte. Ro- land Zwerenz, Geschäftsführer des Veranstalters ORTEC, sagt dazu: „Der erfolgreiche Verlauf der Mes- se steht für Zuversicht. Aussteller und Besucher sind erleichtert wie- der ein Stück Normalität zurück zu gewinnen.“ Zur FLORIAN 2021 hat- ten in Dresden 250 Aussteller aus 11 Ländern die Technologien und Konzepte für die Angehörigen von Feuerwehr, Rettungswesen und Katastrophenschutz präsentiert. Zu sehen waren die neuesten Fahr- zeuge sowie aktuelle Lösungen für Atem- und Körperschutz, für die Technische Hilfeleistung, Wald- brandbekämpfung und weitere Herausforderungen, denen sich die Retter täglich stellen müssen. Endlich wieder Innovationen live erleben: Die Hersteller hatten zahl- reiche Neuheiten zur FLORIAN 2021 mitgebracht, die erstmals in der Öffentlichkeit zu sehen waren wie ein Crash-System zur realisti- schen Fahrzeugdeformierung für die praxisgerechte Ausbildung in der Technischen Hilfeleistung, eine Hubrettungsbühne unter 16 Ton- nen, ein neues Tanklöschfahrzeug 3000 Waldbrand sowie ein neues Löschsystem für brennende Trak- tionsbatterien bei Elektrofahrzeu- gen. Das aktuell starke Zulassungs- plus für PKW mit Elektroantrieb führt dazu, dass Feuerwehren schneller und besser geschult wer- den müssen, was den Umgang mit havarierten E-Autos betrifft. Im „Symposium Technische Hilfe – Elektromobilität“ am 7. Oktober wurde über die Erarbeitung der bundesweit mit allen Feuerwehr- schulen abgestimmten Lehrunter- lagen informiert.
