"The new date was the most urgent decision, taken in order to give exhibitors planning reliability. We will be fine-tuning how we arrange the content in a next step, but our guiding theme will remain the effective bringing together of people and companies – from the suppliers to the producers of medical products," explains Exhibition Manager Alexander Stein the rescheduling and the plans for the next event.
The numbers from this last event according to the organizer: Around 1,900 visitors came to Nuremberg in June 2017 to attend the opening of the MT-Connect and the parallel MedTech Summit with a total of 96 specialist presentations in the congress and the exhibition forum, and to make contact with 189 exhibitors from 11 countries at the exhibition.
Networking the participants was one of the major achievements of 2017 – and it will be in 2018: "The partnering event brought exhibitors, visitors and participants in the congress together in a total of 489 targeted discussion rounds," says Matthias Schier, Managing Director of the MedTech Pharma e.V. Forum. The meetings were agreed on beforehand on the MedTech Summit online platform and took place in a separate area in the MT-Connect trade fair halls.

MT-Connect and MedTech Summit with adjusted dates
New date for both shows in cooperation with MedTech Pharma Forum: MT-Connect and the international medical technology congress MedTech Summit will take place on 11 and 12 April in 2018. The reason: The fairs should not be held at the same time as the Hannover Messe.

MedtecLIVE: joint venture confirmed by German Federal Cartel Office
The exhibition organisers UBM and NürnbergMesse received formal approval from the German Federal Cartel Office for their proposed joint venture and will now move forward with the launch of a new medical technology exhibition, MedtecLIVE.
