15 innovative companies from the EIC SME-Instrument are heading back to Europe with many contacts and leads following attendance of the Arab Health 2018 trade fair, which allowed them to gain insights into doing business in the UAE and the gulf region.
Highlights of the mission included an official opening with a visit of H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Finance and Industry of the UAE to the first ever European Pavilion at the trade fair, as well as several hundred business meetings with local, regional and global attendees at Arab Health. Visitors attended live demonstrations and joined discussions with the companies on the European Pavilion.
The attendance of Arab Health 2018 exceeded expectations, according to the organizer. With more than 4,200 exhibiting companies from 150+ countries, including over 1000 European exhibitors, the European innovators were exhibiting in one of the leading healthcare trade shows in the world.
