The course has been set for the 16th edition of RETTmobil from May 11 to 13, 2016. The central location of Fulda in the center of Germany with 70,000 square meters of exhibition space, 20 exhibition halls and a large open-air site at Messe Galerie Fulda again provides the conditions for RETTmobil.

Altogether close to 9,000 hosted buyers and visitors attended the IMEX event this year and the number of individual appointments and stand presentations increased by 9 per cent to 57,000.

The drive systems specialist Professor Matthias Nienhaus from Saarland University is working on developing a new kind of self-monitoring motor – one that doesn’t need sensors. “We’re developing an important new type of sensor: the motor itself,” says Nienhaus. The advantage of this new approach is that the engineers simply collect data that is available from the normal operation of the motor.

Everyone knows the small UV lamps at cash desks in supermarkets. They are used to verify whether “big banknotes” are genuine. To do so, colorful snippets light up inside the note. The luminous particles which cause this consist of organic compounds. They are not suitable for high temperatures because, in such cases, the luminous particles disintegrate.
