The floor space planned for the upcoming Intec is almost completely booked with about five months left till the start of the trade fair. In fact, 95 percent of exhibition area is already under contract. And the Z is also making good progress for 2017: More exhibitors have already registered for the next iteration of the Z - Subcontracting than in the same reference period for the prior event.
Companies from all the large German machine construction centers will be on hand at the next Intec. The largest number of exhibitors currently come from the federal states Saxony and Baden-Württemberg with 25 percent each, closely followed by North Rhine Westphalia and Bavaria. The focal points of the multifaceted range of products and services offered include machining, cutting, eroding and forming machine tools, surface processing machines, laser systems as well as tools and clamping systems – especially precision tools and tool systems. The areas automated production, assembly and materials handling technology as well as process and production control equipment are very well represented. The trade fair combination Intec and Z will take place in 2017 from March 7 to 10 at Leipzig's Exhibition Center. In the odd-numbered years the Intec is the first important industry venue for Germany's and Europe's metal processing industry. Its core areas include machine tools, systems for automated manufacturing as well as the entire production technologies for metal processing. The Z is one of the leading international supplier trade fairs in Europe. Its product range – e.g., semi-finished products, parts, components and industrial services – is geared primarily to customers from the machinery and plant construction, tool construction and vehicle industry.

At the metal working and processing trade fairs Intec and Z, 1,400 exhibitors are expected to present their products and services in Leipzig over an area of 70,000 square meters.
