“The overall package – an attractive exhibition with a good cross-section of the industry, quality visitors and a trade programme geared to actual practice – was what made the premiere of the Trade Fair Dangerous Goods and Dangerous Materials a success,” says Markus Geisenberger, CEO of Leipziger Messe. “With this second edition, we will be developing the event and continuing our bid to become the number one industry hub for dangerous goods and materials.”
In developing the Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials, the organizers have taken into account a variety of suggestions from numerous discussions with exhibitors, visitors and opinion-leaders. For example, it has been decided to move the trade fair date from November to April in odd years. The reason: scheduling the trade fair for 9 to 11 April 2019 will allow the new ADR/RID regulations to be taken into account, the organizer says. These are to take effect at the start of next year and companies have to have implemented them fully by mid-2019. The Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials will no longer be held in the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) like the first edition. By moving to Hall 2, it will provide the exhibitors with extended possibilities for showcasing their products and for practical demonstrations on the stands.
Also, the European Association of dangerous goods Safety Advisers (EASA) will be holding its ninth General Assembly at the 2019 Trade Fair Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials.
