Energy Storage Europe 2017 is the trade fair with the world’s largest conference programme on energy storage
With this action, Messe Düsseldorf is responding to the 50 per cent higher number of exhibitors and 60 per cent larger volume of visitors at this year’s trade fair and conference. The close collaboration with the International Renewable Energy Storage Conference (IRES) by Eurosolar, which takes place at the same time, is being continued. The next 6th Energy Storage Europe will take place from 14 to 16 March 2017, the 7th Energy Storage Europe from 13 to 15 March 2018. In addition, the renowned OTTI institute will organise its Power2Gas Conference again at Energy Storage Europe.

Pleasant development

Hans Werner Reinhard, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf: “The renewed growth and breadth of exhibited storage technologies show that the energy storage concept is working for exhibitors and visitors equally. From Power2Gas, to battery storage, to thermal and mechanical storage, trade visitors find suitable products and partners for a whole variety of different applications all pooled together at one trade fair.”

Better planning and presentation options

Setting the dates for the next few years and moving to a new hall offer the growing number of exhibitors even better planning and presentation options. At the same time, the existing close relationship between Messe Düsseldorf and the energy sector and industry should be used in the exhibitors’ interests. “Many potential users of energy storage are literally located on our doorstep, and we foster close business relationships with others through our other trade fairs. New possible uses and business models that support their business are resulting for them from the increasing maturity of technologies. We will communicate this intensively,” adds Reinhard.

Extensive conference program

The Energy Storage Europe Conference will be enhanced again by the collaboration with the Ostbayerischen Technologie-Transfer-Institut OTTI e.V. With its more than 200 seminars and conferences, OTTI is one of the most renowned organisers of specialist conferences. The OTTI symposiums for photovoltaic and solar thermal technology at Banz Abbey are among the most important industry meeting points for solar technology in Germany and have already been taking place for 30 years.
