DEUBAUKOM 2016 has sharpened its profile

The DEUBAUKOM 2016 has honed its profile and is now the communications platform for the construction industry's network in North Rhine-Westphalia. Systematically geared to architects, engineers, experts from the housing industry and the industrial building sector, the specialist fair offers these target groups a comprehensive overview of relevant products and services presented in thematically arranged competence centres. The DEUBAUKOM, from 13 to 16 January 2016 in the Messe Essen fairgrounds, will be supplemented by the three specialist fairs InfraTech, DCONex and acqua alta from 13 to 15 January.

Systematically geared to architects, engineers, experts from the housing industry and the industrial building sector, the DEUBAUKOM 2016 offers these target groups a comprehensive overview of relevant products and services presented in thematically arranged competence centres.
The Architecture competence centre is geared to architects and engineers. The Chamber of Architects North Rhine-Westphalia accompanies this section of the exhibition, in which companies present their products and services for urban developers. The special show "MaterialDiversity" makes innovative, future-oriented and exceptional materials palpable to visitors.

Industrial Construction enlarges its exhibition space

Experts involved in industrial construction have an optimal exhibition space in the competence centre bearing the same name. Following its successful premiere last year, the Deubaukom has now enlarged this exhibition area. For the first time, innovative solutions for building facilities as well as heat and energy supply of industrial and commercial buildings will be shown in the Industrial Construction competence centre. The partner is Arbeitsgemeinschaft Industriebau e.V.

The state of North-Rhine Westphalia and particularly the Ruhr region are the home of many large housing associations. Their meeting place at the Deubaukom is the Housing Industry competence centre, which shows products, services and current topics concerning their sector.

BVBS is expanding the IT competence centre

Construction software, generation-oriented building and energy efficiency are areas of interest in great demand by trade visitors at the Deubaukom, which is why these issues will be reflected in their own competence centres in 2016. IT is the largest product-specific area at the Deubaukom. After the successful premiere of the IT competence centre in 2014, both partners Messe Essen and BVBS – Bundesverband Bausoftware e.V. (Federal Association of Construction Software) – are once again enlarging this joint platform for the construction software industry. In Hall 1, companies can offer comprehensive presentations of their products and services in the construction software sector.

Show house provides the experience of generation-oriented construction

The “Building plus Comfort” competence centre provides a pan-industry and multi-generational platform for the building, living, health and care sectors. Under the motto "Demography goes green", in Hall 3 visitors can walk through a show house of about 100 square metres that presents generation-oriented construction in combination with energy-efficient solutions executed in modern building techniques. Conceived and organised by experts from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gerontotechnik® (German Association for Gerontechnology), the show house will be the result of cooperation between the Messe Essen and Deubaukom 2016 exhibitors. In this competence centre, numerous other companies will be exhibiting their innovative products and solutions for enhancing the quality of life.

Experts advise on the prime topic of energy efficiency

Whether in new buildings or refurbishing existing structures, public and private developers place great value on energy efficiency. In the Energy Efficiency competence centre, top-calibre experts give advice on the subjects of energy-conscious building and energy-efficient building refurbishment. Environmentally friendly technologies such as heat pumps, photovoltaic systems and wood pellet heating systems are also presented. Alongside the EnergieAgentur.NRW, Informationsgemeinschaft Passivhaus Deutschland (German Passive House Association) is a partner of the competence centre.

Wood is increasingly being used in the construction industry, since it is a flexible and sustainable raw material. In the Roof + Timber competence centre, exhibitors show the entire value-added chain of timber construction. The central contact partner is Landesbetrieb Wald und Holz Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW State Enterprise for Forestry and Timber).

Trade visitors benefit from synergies of three specialist fairs

The Deubaukom will be accompanied by three specialist fairs from 13 to 15 January 2016, which provide trade visitors with valuable synergies on other current construction topics: The InfraTech, the trade fair for road construction and civil engineering, depicts the general topic of infrastructure. This is where providers and decision makers meet each other to discuss relevant issues in civil engineering, road construction, hydraulic engineering, water and waste water management, public room design as well as transport and mobility. The DCONex is dedicated to the competent and cost-optimised management of hazardous substances. As the first and only specialised trade fair with an accompanying congress, this fair brings together providers and requesters for pollutant analysis and clean-up, the demolition and decontamination of polluted sites as well as pollutant disposal, prevention and advanced training. The acqua alta is a platform for the exchange of information and knowledge for all those involved in flood control.
